Who We Are
Missouri solar industry leaders met in 2009 to form the Missouri Solar Energy Industries Association (MOSEIA) with the goal of growing the solar industry through outreach, advocacy, continuing education and trainings.
Since MOSEIA’s founding in 2009, the Missouri solar industry has exploded, creating over 3,700 jobs and adding $415 Million to the state’s economy.
According to a recent study by the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, Missouri has the potential to add 940 MW of solar (or enough to power approximately 100,000 homes). This growth would generate an additional 18,000 jobs and $2 billion in economic activity.
Generating your own electricity from solar is more affordable than ever, and the solar industry will continue to boom. MOSEIA is propelling the growth by representing solar industry stakeholders and by supporting policy issues focused on solar job creation and sustainable power production in Missouri. MOSEIA also provides professional development opportunities throughout the year to ensure high installation standards are continued.
MOSEIA is the only official Missouri state chapter of the national Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).
CAUTION:
Consumers interested in going solar should consult our ‘Directory‘ page for installers and ancillary service providers who are MOSEIA Members. Our members agree to follow a strict Code of Ethics. We are unable to assist consumers who have complaints against any non-member companies.
